I know, I know we’re already five days in. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe it’s already Superbowl Sunday too.
The sun has finally been out for a few days (not today, but the past couple of days!) It has been so nice and it’s amazing how that natural light can really turn my mood around. I am so ready for summer!
Even on the really yucky, rainy, gloomy days I’ve been getting out and walking.
It’s the perfect way to clear my head of all my anxieties and keep myself focusing on my goals. Besides a nice warm bubble bath, it’s the best way to get a little “me” time.
“Me” time is damn near impossible with this one around! She’s a cuddler and an attention hog, but I can’t say that I mind. Look at that face!
You just can’t say no.
Anyway, throwing back to Thursday, I did a huge grocery shop for a couple recipes I want to try out, plus some healthier options. My activity has been awesome lately, but I’ve totally been slacking on the nutrition so I figured a grocery haul was a must. I grabbed a tons of fruit and protein-packed options.
This morning before I even rolled my lazy butt out of bed I finally signed up for my first StepBet! The “free” week ends today and it officially starts tomorrow so I signed up just in time! Stretch days will be tough to hit, but considering how often I’ve been going on my walks, I should do just fine!
I joined The Walking Machines and the pot is at over $28,000 and we still have until midnight tonight for people to join! If that isn’t motivation to get your butt off the couch, I don’t know what is! I am so excited for this competition.
After I climbed out of bed I made a new recipe that I’ll be posting later on, then I sat down to a super quick and easy breakfast. Protein shake and a clementine. I only ended up eating one. I’m saving lots of room for Superbowl food tonight!
