My March Madness

I don’t even want to admit that it’s been nearly six weeks since I released my last blog post. I strayed from social media in general for both the right reasons and the wrong reasons. I needed a little break in order to get myself back to a healthy place mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and obviously physically! I wouldn’t have started this blog in the first place if I wasn’t in need of that.

I figured I would hope on and get into the nitty gritty of what I’ve been up to lately and how I’m planning ahead to get myself back on track in life.

First of all, I got a promotion at work back in January which led me to transfer to a new location. It’s still close to home, but it was a big change. My hours have been crazy and lately, work has been my entire life. But, I am so thankful to have made this move because it led to some really amazing things…

Like this guy right here. Shortly after I transferred to the new location I met Will. I’ve kept pretty quiet about him on social media, especially through my blog because new relationships can be a lot to take on in private, let alone online.

But, everything has been absolutely amazing and I can honestly say that when it comes to relationships, this is the happiest I have ever been.

Even the animals love him! 😉

And since I moved back in January all the animals have made themselves completely at home. The dogs and the cats are even getting along now. Well, most of the time….

Now as thankful as I have been to have received this promotion at my job that led to my transfer, I know this isn’t where I’m meant to stay so I’m working on getting out of there and into a secure job that’ll turn into a career. I’m so close… I know I can make amazing things happen if I’m given the opportunity.

Now as great as everything has been, there’s always a downside. A couple weeks ago the wind in Michigan got wicked and knocked our power out for two days, leaving some people without it for four or five days. In addition to losing power, I also lost my car.

Both my mom and I left work early that day feeling under the weather. We’d been asleep on the couches in the living room for less than twenty minutes when the tree came down. Needless to say, my car is totaled. I’m still waiting on the insurance company to finish their end so I can finally go get a nice new car. Thankfully my lease was up this coming July!

I was going to share my plan for getting myself back into the “health groove,” but I decided to show you instead. I’ll try to remember my photos and throw up an update post at the end of the week!
